Take the Pledge to be a Community Challenge Health Champion! Here at It’s Time Texas, part of our mission is to empower others to make health a priority.
Who can be a Community Challenge Health Champion? La Feria ISD school employees or School Health Advisory Members that help us educate others about the opportunity to participate in Community Challenge, activate others to participate, and motivates others to continue prioritizing health over the entirety of the challenge. Be a difference maker and prioritize healthy living within your household, workplace, & greater community.
By submitting this pledge to be a Community Challenge Health Champion for La Feria ISD, I commit to:
- Understand: Register for our monthly webinar educational series that will provide all of the information and best practices you'll need to make the most out of Community Challenge; attend in real-time or watch the recorded webinar
- Educate: Tell others about Community Challenge! Post on social media, bring it up at family gatherings, or have a conversation with a co-worker while in the breakroom
- Activate: Get a minimum of one other community member (family, friend, co-worker, etc.) to register for Community Challenge
- Motivate: Lead by example and log a minimum of one health action per week throughout the duration of the challenge
- Above & Beyond: It does not stop there! A few additional ways to be an advocate for health: 1) Get social and organize a group activity 2) Find someone that needs more support and be their accountability partner 3) Find ways within your school district or greater community to celebrate your fellow participants’ commitment to health
Help us to create momentum to build healthier communities, and ultimately, a healthier Texas. All promotional materials can be found on our Partner Resource Hub. In return for your support, all La Feria Community Health Champions will receive a swag bag valued at $50, be entered to win a raffle for $500, and will be recognized at the 2023 RGV Community Challenge awards ceremony.
